3 Basic Guitar Chords You Must Learn

Learning guitar can be easy and simple if one is willing to invest time and effort. Today there are thousands of guitar lessons and resources that you can find on the internet which makes it easy to learn this instrument.

Most of the guitarists start by learning the basic chords. So, I thought why not show you the 3 basic chords that you should learn in your starting phase.

The 3 basic chords that I am going to show you are D, A and G.

Learning basic chords is easy because of its simple shapes and less number of finger positions.

Learning to play strumming can be a little more difficult compared to learning basic chords but with time and practice, one can learn it easily.

So, without wasting any time let’s look at these 3 easy and simple chords.

3 Basic Guitar Chords

1 – D Chord

To play the D chord, place the left ring finger on the third fret on the second string, the middle finger on the second fret of the first string, and the index finger on the second fret of the third string.

2 – A Chord

To play the A chord, place the left index finger on the second fret of the fourth string, the middle finger on the second fret of the third string, and the ring finger on the second fret of the second string.

3 – G Chord

To play the G chord, place the left ring finger on the third fret of the sixth string, the left middle finger on the second fret of the fifth string, and the left pinky finger on the third fret of the first string.

Just learning the chords is easy but switching between chords in time is the hard part. Regular practice can solve this. All the best.
