How to play Rolling in the Deep on Guitar

Rolling in The Deep is without a doubt, one of the most popular songs by Adele from her 2011, album ’21’ and it is pretty easy to play as well. You just need 5 basic chords, Am, Em, G, F, and E7. That’s all.

Note: To sound exactly like the original song or to play along you have to use a capo on the 3rd fret.

Learning the Chords

As I have mentioned above we only need 5 basic chords that are: Am, Em, G, F, and E7. Here except for the F bar chord, the rest of the chords are open and pretty easy to play. It is also easy to switch between these chords since this song involves some fast and tricky chord switches that you can learn in the video above.

The Strumming Pattern

The strumming pattern is the simplest among all because it’s all downstrokes with a touch of palm muting to it. Do refer to the video above for a visual representation of this pattern.

Wrap

That’s everything you need to play this song from start to end. The only thing you have to work upon is the tricky chord switching part but except for that, the whole song is pretty easy to play.
